My Prayer is for You....

  that you experience  God's great and tangible  Presence   of His glory.   As you extend your hands to Jesus  may He fill you  with  His Holy Spirit   May that encounter experience  grant you  grace and peace  that only comes though Him. Resting  in His outstretched arms  reaching out and holding you  much like a little child.  For He will hold you  tightly  to His chest. May He give you  hope and joy  that only comes from  knowing He is  going to keep you  and protect you.   He is going to guide your steps  as you let Him lead you... He will guide you  through  whatever may arise this day. Trust God and see  He will do awesome and great things  through you this day in Jesus name! Richard T Hicks 2021

A Cry in the Night

Afraid to move, James lay in his bed motionless at 4:00 a.m. His muscles ached from staying in the same position for hours, as he stared at the ceiling. With the shades drawn, the darkness seemed to envelope the entire room, including James. With all the strength he could muster, he breathed in and out in overwhelming anguish. He didn’t think he could take much more. Gloom and thick darkness filled the atmosphere. In the spiritual realm, Satan summoned the demons of death and suicide. One by one, they assembled around James’s bed, like mourners around a coffin. In disgust and hate, they looked down upon his struggling body and soul. Finally, one of the suicide demons in the room spoke in a chilling, sinister voice, “Kill yourself.” He motioned for the other demons. All together, they began chanting those life-defying words in unison. James could hear them loud and clear. I wrote this in my Mountain Movers Mental Health Support group and wanted to share it here! Depression for me in months of 2021 have not been good....There were many lows and a few highs. It is truly a silent killer unless you kick it in the rear.....Yes it can really be a donkey's butt! If you don't do not recognize it and kick it out of your life it will rake havoc on your life and even Christian life!!! Depression can be very disabling. I know this fully well. So I joined the gym back before the COVID and maybe went 3 or 4 times before it hit full force. I decided to go to the gym yesterday and worked out for 30 minutes and it set me on a better path for the day. It as well set me back on the path of intermediate fasting and I have lost 3 pounds since then! I didn't go today but all that long lost physical and spiritual energy topped over into today! I have just got to be vigilant and notice the triggers to disarm them. Each day has enough problems of its own....but w
