Day 4 The A-Z Challenge.

Good morning to everyone reading this. On this forth day of the challenge the word for the day is delight.  The definition for delight is to be soft and tender but also to gain great pleasure, satifaction or happiness or rejoice over.

So how do we as believers bring delight unto God?  How do we bring him happiness and know that we bring him satisfaction? That should be our number one purpose as a born again believer.   I know the scriptures say that when a soul is born again the angels rejoice, but I really wonder how the Lord reacts? The scriptures also talk of the prodigal son when he returns home. That gives us a glimpse on what delights our Father in heaven...

But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.  Luke 15:20-24

My friends when we come before the Father in humility and truth He delights in us!  When we want Him more than any other thing in this life, he rejoices. It should be our supreme goal each day to make Him happy. He created us in our mothers womb to bring joy to Him. For God so loved us that He sent his only begotten son to redeem us back into fellowship with Him. When we give him our hearts and desire to live for Him, and we are obedient to Him He delights is us.

Dear Jesus, thank you for dying on that cruel and cold cross.  We come before you this day. Help us to know what you delight in, and help us to give all glory to you. Show us Your joy, and help us to make you happy and help us to follow your will for our lives. AMEN.
