There is A "Finally!"
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
Even as believers we are not prone to have anxious thoughts is what Paul is saying here in the holy scriptures. As humans, our tendency is to worry and not live in the present. I do not know about you, but I have spent many endless nights tossing and turning over insignificant things. I don't have to make a list here I am sure you have one. We all do.
This scripture gives me hope and lets me know what I need to be praying for! Those things we are anxious about should be at the top of our prayer list. We can bring all our worries to God. Nothing is too small or insignificant for God to handle. The devil is the one who wants us to be anxious and worry ourselves into panic attacks!! Those things we are stressing about we should be mindful to bring them to God. We should not be letting him carry that load! He will if you let him!
So, do you have your list ready? You can prepare one now. Write down all the things you're worrying about. Let those things become your daily prayer list and not only pray about them but bring make them your humble plea to God!
Do you want to know why you are having anxiety? Worrying about someone or something is not praying about it at all. That is fear. You see worrying breeds fear and anxiety, which makes it ten times worse! Do not be a worrier but a warrior of God!
So, what is the word of God telling us to do? We need to pray and plead letting God know each and every request. It is best to write them all down and make them into your daily prayer with Thanksgiving. Not only are we praying for the requests we are thanking God for the answers!!
Then the peace will come. Then you will not have all those worries because the peace of God will even guard your heart and mind though Christ Jesus!
Now you might be saying where is the "finally" at? Here it is...
Finally, after all this my brothers and sisters, think on things that are noble, worthy and true and pure and of good report. Think on the good things and not the bad. Be thankful and allow the peace of God to guard your thoughts!
Think about what you're thinking about. Take the time to readjust your thoughts and turn your worries into your greatness prayer for peace in Jesus' name!!
Thanks for this very encouraging reminder of what to be thinking about and praying about! Visiting from FMF#11
ReplyDeleteI had to smile as I read your post. As I read, I was thinking - when I finally pray about what is concerning me, I rest in His peace. So very true.

ReplyDeleteThey say I oughta worry
ReplyDelete'bout what tomorrow brings,
but I ain't in a hurry
to think about those things.
Sure, my heart's now failing
and the tumours are a mess.
It may not be smooth sailing,
but I'll go on, I guess
through the storm and through the rain,
beating on against the gale,
but not counting these trials as pain
for in the end they tell the tale
of a drongo far to dumb to quit
even in the worst of it.
An encouraging reminder.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind responses! May God bless and hold you close…
ReplyDeleteI love that - be a warrior, not a worrier.
