You are My BFF!!!πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

I want to pose a question to my readers and share an amazing testimonial.  My question is this, “Do you consider Jesus your ‘best’ friend?”  Do you know what a friend really is? So what is your definition?

You see I have come to see that I never had a best friend.  What a is a friend I have asked myself that question many times. When I thought I had a friend in the past it would never work out.  I’m talking about any friend you have ever had guy or girl.  I’m a man and I may have had 1 guy friend in 59 years of my life.  Friends have come and gone in my life.  Especially women but l am not talking about them πŸ˜‚.

So my definition of what a best friend is this: a person that you trust completely who will never leave your side no matter what.   Someone who doesn’t judge you and who will let you be yourself.  Yet, they are honest and they reprove you with the love of Jesus in their hearts.  A person who has a common ground with you and that you can talk freely with you and that you can share your secrets with.

In 2013 I met my best friend’s mother at a writing website.  I maybe talked to him 2 times during the span of 6 years.  I separated from my wife in June of that year 2019.  During that separation Matthew and I started talking on the phone.  We talked on several occasions during that time.  We had a common ground and that was mainly that we were both Christian men who had dwelt with a mental illness.  We loved to talk about God and discuss scriptures from the Bible.

We have remained friends since then.  He is the closest friend I have I have ever had in my life.  We talk on the phone frequently about everything under the sun and you know what?   We can count on each other to be there through any and every thing.  I never had a friend like thst before.  Matt taught me want friendship really is.

What about you?   Jesus cannot be your best friend if you have not had that experience!  I’m a work in progress.  But now I see that I can have that same friendship/relationship with Jesus. Thst changes the whole dynamic trajectory.   I am a friend of God and then I can talk to him like he is my best friend forever.

Matt my bubba,  I want to tribute this blog posting to you my friend.  Our friendship has been through so much and I am grateful to have you in my life.  I think that this friendship will continue and we will continue to grow stronger each day.  You hsve taught me not to be a quitter when times get rocky.  I don’t really care for a handful of people but to have one close friend. I wouldn’t trade that for any amount of money.  Happy birthday πŸŽπŸŽ‚πŸŽˆ.  I know that it’s coming up in a couple of weeks.
