A-Z Writing Challenge -Wait-

 Hey good people!! Today is W day and the word for this day is wait. The word is defined as hopeful anticipation.


When we wait we are in essence holding on to a desired ending. Good things come to those who wait. We can sometimes get ahead of those good things. We plummet forward instead of waiting…that is all a part of that expected good ending.   We can hurry things up in this life. Waiting is all part of the grand design. Being inpatient and plunging forward could be costly.


So what does it mean to truly wait upon the Lord?? I pray that He grants us patience to wait upon HIm. That is what it is going to take to wait. “Teach us Lord to wait upon You!”  Patience takes practicing His Presence in the Holy Spirit. He gives power to those who wait upon Him, exchanging their strength for His! So what does it mean to practice His Presence?


I believe we can daily go before the throne of God.  By what Jesus did on the Cross of Calvary, He made a way through the veil into the holy of holies!!! Only by the blood of the Lamb are we given access into that holy place into God’s very presence. There is where we receive strength for our weakness…patience for our impatience.


We will mount up just like an eagle and soar across the sky…We will run and not and not grow weary and walk and not faint. 


Oh Lord teach us to wait upon you. We pray that we will not go ahead of your plans. We submit to your plan for our lives. For our plans will surely be foiled.

I always see a flower before it blooms.                               Richard T Hicks 2020 I was not always like that.  Why and exactly how in the world did my perspective change over the years? It’s Already Been Done!!

Dear Jesus I just want to take the time to say I appreciated all you have done for me through your sacrificial death on that dark and cruel cross.   You didn’t have to do it… but you did.   It makes me sad that you had to die to make this all possible…but you did it without hesitation.  All my love and life I owe to You… Thank you ABBA for your grace and mercy poured out upon all people on this earth.   Draw them and give them a revelation of your divine glory.  For you gave your only son.   I am so grateful to you for redeeming me so I wouldn’t have to die.   For Jesus has already been on that cross and already experienced my destruction in the grave.  He already died once for all creation.   For in Adam we have died already, but through Christ we have been made alive through that glorious resurrection by the power of your Holy Spirit.   Yes God has already done it all through the power of His Spirit.    For He has already seated us in heavenly places in Jesus.   He has given us a hop

Not in a Hurry

A flower does not get in a hurry.  It takes its time to grow and bloom in beautiful and intrinsic ways. Just like us as believers we do not instantly bloom.  We  may start as a seed.  We want to be in such a hurry but it takes grace to be patient….and trust too.  It takes time and space to grow. Lots of tender loving care.   We shouldn’t worry about blooming for our time will come without one worry how we will turn out … Dear Jesus,  help me I pray to not be in a hurry or to compare my heart to to anyone else for in due time we will flourish and bloom like the red rose 🌹 on a sunny spring day…Amen.
