Do not Give Up!

If I were to tell you one thing to those who will really listen is "do not quit." NO matter how tough things get, get tough with them.  Do not let down your guard... I have many regrets in my life that I wish I had not quit on. Just because things do not go as you planned that does not mean you have to give up. God is in control, and HE establishes things in their place for a reason and a season...Sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to find the pure gold. If you know the gold is there you need to keep digging when that is all you know to do. Dig in with your heels and never give up!  But God knows us very well...He knows we grow weary and faint when it comes to facing hard times. God is still God in the hard times, we should not give up so easy. One of these areas for me was marriage I hate to say. Maybe I expected more or too much from past relationships...I regret leaving my first marriage....what is done is done and the wounds were deep, plus with two sons.... I ...

Word in Due Season...

You and I need to be really ready for the return of Jesus Christ. I believe that the most important thing for you is to know Him and have a relationship with Jesus first and foremost by leaning on and hearing His voice through the Holy Spirit.  I have had one-way relationships, havent you? Those kind dont go anywhere fast...We will never stay connected that way. It will get old fast and will fall apart. God doesn't want that with you and I either. He has poured out His Holy Spirit upon all flesh...Have you experienced that infilling.  His Spirit infusing with our Spirit? Yes we are one Spirit with Him in Christ Jesus. But there will be other voices to contend with to keep you busy and distracted. You will not hear the voice of the Helper, the Holy Spirit, if your mind is racing with thoughts to keep you busy. Doing your goals and chores and work is all very well and good.,,but we do need to designate a time just to be with Jesus and hear and also listen to His Voice. Li...

Getting Back into The Grace

These are the days we need to be seeking Jesus. We should come into His holy presence daily. I pray that we come into a revelation knowledge of His reality. He is not a God of long ago...The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob is as much as our GOD Today.  The scriptures say that He is the same, yesterday, today and forever.  Are we serving the same God?  There are so many little gods out there, but there is one true and holy and righteous GOD. He not only created this world He created each of us as well. How can someone turn away and hate Him?  I do not understand that. Today I want to encourage you to turn to Him letting go of every burden and bitterness toward Him and others in the world...It is high time we give Him our whole heart and soul stepping into His awesome grace...His grace like a river washing our souls clean. Lets get into that grace that flows free. The river of God has not went dry...we may have stepped away but His Living Water still flows free. D...

Richard Update...

Hey to my Readers, It has been a very long and rough year to tell you the truth. You can probably really tell by my lack of writings if you look at the dates. This last month was really tough. I had isolated with severe depression. I thought I would have to go back inpatient. The mental anguish was unbearable at times. I am about sure if you have not experienced this then you have no clue what I am talking about.  When I get in this frame of mind, it is just like being in a pit with a dark cloud overhead.  All you can see from that vantage point is the dark Despair without a ounce of hope in sight with just glimmers of GOD. just like a gloomy overcast day when you rarely see the sun.  You just do not want to be around anyone at all.  Sleeping becomes your only comfort from the misery that you are in.   It is a drudgery during these times to clean your house or self care and even in your hobbies like writing which I know I love is affected. All you ca...

From Recovery to Freedom

Some of you know and some do not know that I had a book published in 2018.  It was a testimonial book about my struggles with having schizophrenia.  I knew I was supposed to write a book but at the time I had only written my testimony out in 2012.   At that time, I had no clue about how to go about getting it published. I started blogging during that time as well. I started out writing about a paragraph as my blog entries. I do not even remember the title of my blog at the time. my blog went through many transitions and titles as well as my writing took off. I had no clue that the postings I had wrote at that time would go into a book, but it did. So did the vision for my book and with that vision I had thoughts that the ministry God had put in my heart would take off. I thought that would be my open door for ministering to those in the church struggling with mental issues.   Sadly, that vision never took shape in that fashion overall. I do think that peopl...

Lifted Up

One dreary day in 1990, at the age of 27 years old, I stumbled upon a monstrous beast called a coal stacker. In many ways it reminded me of a giant brontosaurus out of the Jurassic era. It was a large machine in proportion, used at electrical plants to transport coal from one area to the next. Its intricacies are even more difficult for me to describe in tangible words, because of the magnitude of this fearful apparatus. There were four levels with stairs to each part of this beast. The grizzly boss’s name was George, and I helped him set up the company water blasting machine. It had a long hose with a spray gun at the end, just like what you see at a car wash. This cleaning contraption had a generator and a large tank where you store the water. When you cut the motor on the hose pressurizes, supercharging the water at an extreme force to wherever it’s aimed at. Our task entailed cleaning the coal off every part of this looming monstrosity. George had a bad attitude as usual which adde...

Take UP Your CROSS...

I have been through some major things in my life.  It has not been easy at all.  There have many times when I stopped caring and gave in and gave up.  That didn’t make my suffering stop. If anything, it made matters worse.  More than likely prolonging my season of suffering.  A lot of times we don’t understand our suffering.  We take it out on God and everyone around us and don’t understand why we are going through it and God doesn’t seem to be around… God does not turn His back from us.  We may turn our back on Him time after time.  And then we wonder why we are going through what we have?  He turns us over to our own devices and then we wonder why we are in the same rut over and over again. Jesus greatly suffered at His crucifixion.  He could have easily called on legions of heaven’s angels.  Where would we be right now if Jesus took an  easy way out? Not where we are, that is for sure! God has not forgotten nor f...
